The Training and Placement Cell of the institute handles all
aspects of placements at LNMIIT for the students of all departments. It is a student body, directly under
the supervision of the honourable Director, headed by the Training and Placement Officer and guided by
the Faculty Advisors .The Cell stands for branding the outlook of the university to the corporate and the
industry.
The Training and Placement Officer, Coordinators and the student representatives handle
various crucial tasks in the Cell like reaching out to companies, scheduling and executing placement
related activities and carrying out all offcial communication with recruiters and students. The Cell
strives to match recruiter expectations with students’ aspirations. The team of student representatives
coordinate the activities to ensure compliance with various institute policies and company offcials, who
execute coordination with their recruiting organisations. Over the years the Cell has gone from strength
to strength in achieving outstanding placements at LNMIIT and will continue to do so in the years to
come.
The LNMIIT Jaipur was established in the year 2002 by the Lakshmi and Usha Mittal Foundation and the
State Government of Rajasthan, as a joint venture. It was envisioned to be nurtured over the years to
become an Institution of higher learning in the broad areas of computing, communication and allied
sub-areas, with a strong interdisciplinary flavour and with a scope to gradually expand into other areas
of contemporary relevance. Starting with the first interdisciplinary programme called Communication and
Computer Engineering (CCE), with gradual addition of other programmes such as Electronics and Computer
Engineering (ECE), Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Physics, Mathematics, HSS and most recently
Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering areas. The Institute has evolved as one of the best-in-class
young Institutions of higher learning in the country.
Apart from the flexible curricular structure, opportunities for multiple levels of interfacing with both
faculty and industry in form of on-campus projects, off-campus internships, on-campus internships though
LUSIP programme, winter internships outside the country for select students in University research labs,
summer internships for select students at ArcelorMittal, Kazakhstan and select industrial research
laboratories both within India and abroad, some long internships in industrial research labs for eligible
students, students and faculty get opportunities of closely working on the real world problems.
